How it all began…
For the past 11 years I have worked as a Special Education Teacher. It is an incredibly rewarding profession and I love working with my students every day and seeing them learn and achieve their goals. In 2022 I gave birth to my daughter. While on maternity leave, I attended some mommy and me classes and it truly helped me feel seen and understood in those first months postpartum as I was trying to navigate this new life as a mom. I was inspired to create a community in the area where I live so more parents and caregivers could find a sense of community and support. I collaborated with some amazing birth and postpartum educators to offer classes locally. It has been incredible meeting other parents in the area, swapping stories, tips and forming relationships. I am excited to continue to offer more classes as the year continues!
